On 3-5 May, Mr. Zhang Wencai, Vice President of ADBC, participated in the 54th Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Meeting which was held by virtue mode and themed with Collaboration for Resilient and Green Recovery. The participants discussed the issues related to making joint efforts to facilitate green and resilient recovery and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On 5 May, Mr. Zhang was invited as a panelist to join the Webinar on Climate Change and Sovereign Risk, the side event at the Annual Meeting, and delivered a speech entitled Combating Climate Change to Help Lower Sovereign Credit Risks, in which he proposed suggestions on how financial institutions cope with climate risks, mobilize financial resources to support green development and tackle the climate change, and enhance international exchange and cooperation. He also gave an introduction to the efforts and accomplishments of ADBC on how it has supported green development through green credits. Mr. Zhang called on all delegates to take this meeting as an opportunity to promote multilateral and bilateral cooperations so as to achieve greater success in combating the climate change and green development.
